Welcome To Lazarus

Instead of a "BANG", humanity is passing away with the shuffling of dead feet, and hungry moans. Desperate men and women fight against the rising tide for the newly risen dead.Sometimes, though, the undead are not he most dangerous things out there. Civilization has failed the test; the only thing left is survival.

Lazarus is just one of many places where humanity holds on by a thread, and life and death come as easily as a roll of the dice.

"On The Workbench" - 11/11

I decided that as an ongoing feature, I am going to post a rundown of what I have on the work bench, and what I have completed from the previous month's list.  Some of the items will not be Zombie gaming related.  They do affect what I get done in regards to material for this blog, though.  So, I figure they are pertinent to the conversation.  Many of them will be dual use for Welcome To Lazarus and other projects.  I'll denote them with an asterisk.

The workbench in the Hobby Cave.  It's actually much better lit than the pic suggests.
If anything, this running dialog will keep me on track and help me prioritize what I need to get done.  Your input is more than welcome, and you never know.  Maybe if there is enough hue and cry, an item will get bumped to the top of the list, just to placate the masses.

On the Workbench for November 2011:
(This is all stuff that is partially finished; in no particular order)
15mm Armor - USMC LAV-25 and a US Army M2 Bradley *

2 "Clicky" Zombies - Ongoing conversions
6 28mm Vampires - Pontoonier Wierd West vampires for Two Hour Wargames.  Unfinish commision work that needs to be done ASAP, as I've really let Ed down on this.  I have a feeling that I am just going to finish the project gratis

  1. You know if you can't finish that 28mm River Barge I am sure I know a couple people who would be willing to take it off your hands :cough:me:cough: LOL

In all seriousness though I know what its like to have a couple projects going on at once. I still have yet to get any real work done on my "Patrol Boat" project that I was thinking of doing for the Post Apoc forums 2001 Watercraft challenge. Right now only thing I have is the cardstock mock up and some bits I want to use on the completed final version. Luckily for now I have a Tommygun's (Tommygun from the old Ebbles Miniatures forum) SOC Riverine Boat (a flat bottomed River Patrol Boat similar to those used by some of the worlds military for "Brown-Water" operations). Only thing holding me up is getting the styrene sheets I need to build the ship and time, especially with work and us going into our Holiday hours (meaning I will be working more hours due to the holidays coming up).

Other then the "Patrol Boat" project on my to do list I also have to get building my city (World Works Games Urban Mayhem Models, with possibly some of the TLX Mayhem models included, for the majority of the structures and vehicles, along with the Ebbles Folding Unit Structures, and some of the more modern looking Ebbles Vehicles such as the M11 4x4 (an earlier model of his from 2003 iirc) and the newer Jeepvee 4x4 and Apevee 6x6's, I may also follow Bryan (Vampifans) lead and obtain the finger and Toe Quonset Hut model for my games too). As of right now I only have 7 or 8 Folding Unit Structures built along with 2 foam-core clones of the Bachman Plasticville TV Station, along with a couple of Shipping container style structures that are skinned for use as a M.A.S.H. style field hospital.

  3. It's funny, I have 30 Mantic, and 150 Wargames Factory zombies sitting on a box next to my window curing after their dip yesterday. I'm kind of excited about seeing yours finished!

  4. @ Doug, looking forward to seeing the fruits of your efforts on the PA Warercraft front.

@ Brummie, I have to...HAVE...to get Ed's Weird West Stuff done, before finishing another 28mm miniature. Then they are slated for completion :-)

@ V., you are MUCH more industrious than I am with the WF zombies :-)
